Class IX Excursion

At NEUHOF English Medium School, one of the most anticipated events for students in the ninth standard is our annual excursions. These trips are not just a break from the routine but an integral part of our educational approach, providing students with real-world experiences outside the classroom.

Every year, our Class IX students embark on exciting journeys to various destinations including Guwahati and Shillong. These trips are accompanied by our dedicated teachers, ensuring a blend of fun, learning, and safety. The bus rides are filled with laughter and anticipation as students look forward to:
  • Exploring New Places: Each destination offers unique cultural, historical, and natural insights, broadening our students’ understanding of India’s diverse landscapes.
  • Culinary Adventures: Students get to savor local cuisines, enhancing their taste buds and cultural appreciation.
  • Language Skills: Interaction with locals in different states challenges and improves their communication abilities in English and local dialects.

Special Exchange Program under BADP
In a special initiative, Class IX students were given the unique opportunity to participate in an educational exchange program organized by the Border Area Development Programme (BADP) under the Rural Development Department. This program aimed to bridge the urban-rural divide by:
  • Visiting Rural Areas: Students, along with three teachers, traveled to Bungtlang South, Parva, and Vathuampui.
  • Cultural and Lifestyle Exchange: The primary goal was to allow urban students to experience the daily life, challenges, and joys of their rural counterparts, fostering mutual respect and understanding. Similarly, rural students gained insights into urban lifestyles, technologies, and educational systems.

This exchange was not just a journey across geographical landscapes but one across socio-economic and cultural terrains. It was an enlightening experience that left a lasting impact on our students, teaching them empathy, adaptability, and a broader perspective on life in India.
